“Eliminate emails out of your communication equation and replace it with ChatWork to increase productivity”. That is the message at this year’s Startup Asia Conference Singapore 2013 @ Biopolis. The event was held from the 4th & 5th of April 2013 by Tech in Asia, with ChatWork having a booth (Booth 66) manned by staffs from both Malifax and ChatWork.

It was launched in Japan 2 years ago and currently has 160,000 users with a monthly increment of 10,000 users. ChatWork has partnered exclusively with Malifax to distribute its product in South-East Asia, in order to tackle the South-East Asian market. Established in 1985, Malifax has over 600 business accounts in South-East Asia, providing ChatWork with the platform to expand its visibility within South-East Asia.

There will always be a need to have an effective communications tool for both internal and external communications; be it new startups, SMBs or Enterprises. The norm would be using emails that can take up most of your time just by replying to them. This will eventually reduce productivity and response time, which will in turn cost businesses to lose potential opportunities. One way to overcome that is to use a chat-style communication tool, like Skype or WhatApps. However, there are limitations for these consumer based communication tools to be integrated into the work environment.

Firstly, the “chat” and files shared are not encrypted, meaning they are not secure for the work environment. Secondly, the files shared are not archived, thus you will have to send or receive the files again if you could not find the files sent during the chat. Lastly, you are not able to assign tasks to specific people within the chat or group chat.

So what about communication tools for businesses? There are many business communication tools out in the market at the moment. However, most have a longer learning curve for each user and it is pricey too.

ChatWork aims to solve all the problems that you are currently facing. It simplifies your business communications and is hassle free as it is browser based. Unlike other internal communication tools, ChatWork has recognized the need for mobility, thus they have integrated their software on iOS and Android platforms. You are able to create group chats that have SSL encryption, assign tasks and send files that will be archived in the cloud.

Now you will be wondering, how much will it cost? The answer is, not a lot. With a free version that comes with 400MB of cloud storage and up to 14 group chats. You will be able to evaluate ChatWork worry-free. The paid version is just US$19 per month for 10 users and comes with 10GB of cloud storage, unlimited group chats and admin features. Of cause ChatWork is able to cater to more than 10 users.

The business environment is constantly evolving and changing at an ever faster pace. Emails are now the stone-age technology for business communications and the future is real-time chat based communications. So why wait? Try out ChatWork today!
